Ornament Program
In 1996, Timber Ridge School formed a valuable and lasting partnership with the nation's most collected Civil War artist, Mr. Mort Künstler. Since then, Mort has generously donated the use of a piece of his artwork for our limited edition, collectible Christmas ornaments.
Starting out as a small fundraising project, the ornament program has continued to grow. Timber Ridge School now annually fulfills ornament orders from 41 states, Australia, Canada, France, Northern Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
From day one, Mr. Künstler requested that all monies generated from our ornament program be used to enhance the student programs at Timber Ridge School. Our students have been the true recipients of Mort's generosity, as every dollar raised has been designated for their benefit. With fundraising totaling over $600,000, Mort has helped the School build three residential cottages, a ropes course, athletic fields, and a new gymnasium. His tremendous support of our program was recognized in 2003 with the dedication of the Mort Künstler Residence Hall.
The first year ornament released in 1996, Confederate Christmas, has sold on EBay for $980. Ornaments still available for purchase date back to the 2002 ornament. Click here to view our past ornaments. To see sold out ornaments and their values, click here.
“Thank you so much for the Künstler ornament for our silent auction. It caused quite a stir. After much bidding, it was won by a new president and she is still in awe of the valuable piece. Thanks again for your generosity!” — Ms. Paulette Lollar, UDC Arizona Division, Thunderbird Chapter.
