The Charles A. Ricketts Memorial Gymnasium

Timber Ridge School is very pleased that our new gymnasium will be named after one of the School’s longest, and most loyal supporters, Mr. Charles A. Ricketts. Mr. Ricketts passed away in 2002. He had been a great friend to the students at Timber Ridge School for over three decades. Mr. Denver Quinnelly, President and CEO of Ricketts Construction Company, recently stated, “Because of Charlie’s example and our own belief in the difference that Timber Ridge School makes, for so long as I or a member of Charlie’s family is involved, Ricketts Construction Company will continue to financially support Timber Ridge School in memory of Charlie.”

The Charles A. Ricketts Memorial Gymnasium will encompass 18,045 square feet including a basketball arena with seating for 300 spectators, two locker rooms, two classrooms, a weight training room, a laundry room, office space and equipment storage areas. Project manager, Mr. Scott Dotson, indicated construction for the gymnasium will take anywhere between 10 months to a year. The total cost of the gymnasium is $3 million.

Timber Ridge School is a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. You may be interested to know that we recently received a very gracious gift from one of our donors to underwrite the fundraising budget for the Campaign for the Charles A. Ricketts Memorial Gymnasium. This gift was made so that 100% of your gift can be earmarked for the actual construction of the gymnasium.

It is truly a privilege for Timber Ridge School to honor the Ricketts family and company by naming the new gymnasium in memory of Mr. Ricketts. To learn more about the Capital Campaign for the Charles A. Ricketts Memorial Gymnasium please go here.
